FLOOR NURSE

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Full time (40 hours/week) and In-Person

Palm Beach Women’s Clinic does not perform or refer for abortion services, nor will such be permitted from any of the clinics or offices.

The position of the Floor Nurse requires a responsible and well trained professional who is able to give the best nursing care with little supervision.  The Floor Nurse will be part of a team which provides support and care to the clinic clients.  The Floor Nurse will maintain a professional standard of care.  In this position, the Floor Nurse will work in conjunction with the staff of the medical clinic to ensure that clients are receiving the best medical, nursing, psychological and spiritual care possible.  The Floor Nurse will be fully trained to complete abdominal and transvaginal ultrasounds and will be required to complete an annual competency assessment.

The Floor Nurse will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties related to client care, procuring abdominal and transvaginal ultrasounds, STD testing and treatment referrals, client education, completion of client visits, assessment documentation and follow up post appointment.

The Floor Nurse will also be responsible for the maintenance of all laboratory-related records and ensuring that the medical policies and procedures and infection control policies are adhered to and implemented.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Nursing degree from an accredited school.
  2. Registered Nurse Licensure granted by the State of Florida, Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance.
  3. The ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  4. The ability to read, write and communicate in Spanish or Creole is an advantage but not a requirement.
  5. A certificate in BLS.
  6. All certifications and registrations must be maintained, active and current.
  7. A minimum of 2 years relevant nursing experience. OB/GYN experience is desirable.
  8. Willing to participate in activities that promote professional self-growth and development, meeting the minimum requirements for continuing education.
  9. Knowledge of how to use a computer is a requirement.

 

Administrative Assistant/Scheduler

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Full time (40 hours/week) and In-Person

Palm Beach Women’s Clinic does not perform or refer for abortion services, nor will such be permitted to from any of the clinics or offices.

The Administrative Assistant’s primary duties and responsibilities will be to schedule clients and to be the front desk assistant.

Must have a personable and positive disposition that is very welcoming to clients. They must be able to work diligently under pressure. They must have the ability to effectively communicate via phone, text and in person ensuring that all their duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.  They will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

This position includes being able to multitask answering the phone, entering data into the EMR system, track leads, and follow up on messages that have been left for the clinic, as well as greeting clients when they come into the clinic and ensure that the necessary paperwork has been completed by the client prior to seeing the clinic staff.

This candidate should have a strong work ethic and be able to keep the confidentiality of the clinic. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma.
  2. Knowledge of standard office machinery including computer systems.
  3. The ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  4. The ability to read, write and communicate in Spanish or Creole is an advantage but not a requirement.
  5. The ability to engage clients who may be challenging, while sharing what Palm Beach Women’s Clinic can offer the client.
  6. Articulate, professional, and compassionate.
  7. Good grammar and business communication skills.
  8. Good document comprehension, presentation, preparation and delivery skills.
  9. Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint), and the ability to use it effectively would be an advantage.
  10. The ability to learn new computer programs quickly.
  11. Consistent professional appearance, excellent deportment, and demeanor.
  12. Emotionally mature, dependable, self-directed and detail oriented.
